Board Certified Physician Assistant
Andrea McIntosh graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Miami of Ohio in Psychology and Neuroscience. Mrs. McIntosh received her Master’s of Physician Assistance from Chicago Medical School. She is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) as well as the Georgia Medical Board.
Prior to practicing at Metro Atlanta Gastroenterology she held positions as an Oncology/Hematology Physician Assistant in Georgia as well as Duke Medical Center.
Mrs. McIntosh is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistance(AAPA), Georgia Association of Physician Assistance(GAPA), and Golden Key National Honor Society. She is on staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
As a Gastroenterology physician’s assistant she practices medicine in conjunction with Dr. Thomas McGahan and Dr. Kelly Carson. Physician assistants conduct physical exams, diagnosis and treat illnesses, order and interrupt tests, counsel on preventative health care and prescribe medication.
